The Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a guest lecture titled “MRI as an Application of Quantum Physics in Radiodiagnostics”, presented by Dr. rer. nat. Freddy Haryanto, S.Si., M.Si, a lecturer, researcher, and physicist from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), who also serves as the Chairperson of AIPFMI for the 2025–2030 period. The lecture discussed how the principles of quantum physics are applied in MRI technology to produce accurate, modern, and clinically useful medical imaging for diagnostics.
