The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), through its Professional Program in Medicine, held a Pre-Internship Seminar to equip future doctors with the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed before entering clinical practice.
The seminar covered a range of essential topics, including neurovascular emergencies, patient transportation, infection prevention and control, burnout prevention, and interpersonal relationship management in high-stress healthcare environments.
The program was designed to strengthen the readiness of prospective doctors as they transition into professional healthcare settings. Beyond clinical competence, participants were encouraged to develop professionalism, resilience, effective communication, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
Through this pre-internship preparation, FK USU hopes to equip its young doctors with the confidence and capabilities needed to provide quality healthcare services while maintaining compassion and professionalism.
