The LPS Main Scholarship Program (BULPS) provides opportunities for students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).

General Requirements for LPS Main Scholarship 2025
- Age Requirements: < 24 years old at the time of registration
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (Outstanding Category) and a minimum GPA of 3.5 (Merit Category). 3.25 (Financial Need Category)
- Have completed a minimum of 40 credits
- Minimum of 3 semesters and maximum of 5 semesters
- Minimum TOEFL score of 500/equivalent (Merit Category)
- Eligible Faculties: Law, Engineering, Economics and Business, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Social and Political Science, Psychology, Computer Science and Information Technology
- Scholarship Categories: Merit Category (50%): 7 candidates) and Financial Need Category (50%): 7 candidates)
Required Documents for LPS Main Scholarship 2025 for Merit Category
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Photocopy/Scan of ID Card & Family Card
- Photocopy of the latest KHS (School of Education) certified by the faculty or recent transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.50,
- Certificate of English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL Score. 500 / equivalent.
- Recommendation letter from the campus (Faculty).
- A statement letter stating that you are not receiving any other scholarships, stamped with an Rp 10,000 stamp (download here).
- Motivation letter containing your motivation for participating in the scholarship and your future career plans in English.
- Statement letter stating that you have participated in and are active in organizations.
- Certificate of Achievement (Faculty/University, Regional, National, and International Competitions). All required documents are combined in one PDF and arranged according to the required document order.
LPS Main Scholarship 2025 Requirement Documents for the Financial Need Category
- Recent Photocopy/Scan of ID Card & Family Card.
- Photocopy of the latest KHS (School Certificate) legalized by the faculty or the latest academic transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.25.
- Certificate of Underprivileged Students (SKTM) from your village/sub-district. Recommendation letter from the campus (Faculty).
- Statement letter stating that you are not receiving any other scholarships, stamped with a Rp 10,000 stamp (download here). Motivation letter containing your motivation for participating in the scholarship and your future Indonesian (English) career plans. (Preferred) Certificate of participation and active participation in organizations (if any, an added value), Certificate of Achievement (Faculty/University, Regional, National, and International Competitions) (if any, an added value). All required documents are combined in one PDF and sorted according to the required document order.
