On October 26–29, 2022, in Lisbon, Portugal, the International Menopause Society (IMS) organized an international congress held in Lisbon, Portugal. The 18th IMS Congress was held with a mission to work globally to promote and support access to the best healthcare practices for women during the transition to menopause and post-reproductive years, enabling them to achieve optimal health and well-being as well as with the vision that all women worldwide will have easy and equal access to evidence-based knowledge and healthcare, empowering them to make fully informed middle-age health choices. The congress was conducted offline in Lisbon.

 

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department/Study Program also participated in this event. The event was attended by the Professor, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R,, and representatives from the FK USU Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Doctor Education Program, dr. Anditha, dr. M. Fariz, dr. M. Nevino, and dr. Immanuel Dio.

 

In this event, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department/Study Program included its best specialist doctor education program (PPDS) students to provide something to be proud of for Universitas Sumatera Utara and Indonesia. During this event, the FK USU Obstetrics and Gynecology PPDS attained an impressive achievement, namely The Robert Greenblatt Award, an oral presentation titled "The Effect of Soy Isoflavone Administration on Lipid Profile in Indonesian Menopause Women: A Randomised Controlled Trial Study," presented by dr. Andita Namira Rezky Sitompul.

 

dr. Immanuel Dio L. Tobing, as an Oral Presenter, Co-Chair, and Participant of the World Menopause Olympics, represented Indonesia.

 

Poster presentations were also conducted by all PPDS students attending the 18th IMS World Congress event.
