On October 6 - 8, 2023, the 9th Scientific Meeting of Asia Pacific Menopause Federation (APMF) in Conjunction with Indonesian Society of Menopause (Perminesia) was held at The Stones Hotel - Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. This event was attended by Professors, lecturers, and students of the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology throughout Asia-Pacific.
On the first day, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M. Ked (OG), Sp.OG, Subsp. F.E.R., as President of APMF 2021-2023, welcomed all participants and speakers from various countries in Asia-Pacific who attended. Then the event continued with a Workshop by participants from various national and international centers.
The second and third day continued with a symposium featuring presentations from attending speakers. Prof. Dr. M. Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R., Dr. dr. Cut Adeya Adella, Sp.O.G, Subsp.Onk., Dr. dr. M. Oky Prabudi, M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R., and Dr. Hilma Putri Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R., who are Professors and Lecturers of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara also presented material at the symposium. The event continued with souvenirs given to international speakers. One of the international speakers who received souvenirs was Prof. Nick Panay, President of the International Menopause Society (IMS).
Several students of the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara attended the symposium. Among them are dr. Immanuel Dio Lumbantobing, who won 1st place in Poster Presentation, and dr. Atikah Zahra Mustafa Nasution as 2nd place in Olympiad.
