The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) welcomed the Assessment Team from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) for an archival accreditation site verification on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Held in the Dean's Meeting Room on the second floor of FK USU, the activity formed part of the archival accreditation assessment jointly conducted by ANRI and the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of Universitas Sumatera Utara from July 27–31, 2026.
The ANRI Assessment Team was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, USU, Dr. dr. Muara Panusunan Lubis, M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G., Subsp.K.Fm., accompanied by the Head of the Administrative Office, the Head of the General Affairs and Facilities Subdivision, and the Faculty's archival management team. The presence of the faculty leadership and archival personnel reflected FK USU's commitment to maintaining orderly, accountable, and nationally compliant archival governance.
In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that the visit represented an important opportunity for the faculty to evaluate and enhance the quality of its archival management.
“We warmly welcome the visit of the ANRI Assessment Team to the Faculty of Medicine, USU. This activity is not only part of the archival accreditation process but also an opportunity for us to evaluate and continuously improve our records management in accordance with national standards. Through this assessment, we hope to receive constructive feedback that will help us establish an increasingly professional and sustainable archival system,” said Dr. Muara.
During the site verification, the ANRI Assessment Team, together with representatives from the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of USU, reviewed various aspects of archival management at FK USU. The assessment focused on regulatory compliance, implementation of archival management standards, the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the overall effectiveness of the faculty's archival system as part of the university-wide archival accreditation process.
This initiative reflects Universitas Sumatera Utara's commitment to strengthening good and sustainable university governance. It also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by promoting transparent, accountable, and well-managed institutional governance through effective archival systems, as well as SDG 4: Quality Education, by enhancing administrative governance that supports the delivery of high-quality higher education.
Through this site verification, FK USU aims to continuously improve the quality of its archival management as an essential component of institutional administration and documentation. The assessment results are expected to provide constructive recommendations for strengthening an effective, modern, and nationally compliant archival system that supports both academic and administrative services.
