The Basic Ultrasonography (USG) Training is a routine training organized by the Indonesian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Kolegium Obstetri dan Ginekologi Indonesia or KOGI) as an effort to enhance the skills of Obgyn Specialist Doctor Education (PPDS) students in various centers.
On Monday–Wednesday, October 2–4, in Banda Aceh City, the Basic USG Training event was successfully held, attended by 4 centers: FK USK, FK USU, FK UNRI, and FK UNAND. The event was organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Universitas Syiah Kuala Faculty of Medicine (FK USK).
The event spanned 3 days, beginning with the opening on the first day by Dr. dr. T. Mirza Iskandar, Sp.O.G., Subsp. Onk as the Training Director, followed by the Initial Test and training material presentation by consultants from various centers. The training material was also provided by Dr. dr. Letta S. Lintang, M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G., Subsp. K.Fm as a representative consultant from FK USU Obgyn.
The second day continued with the Mid-Test and Practice Guidance by all consultants to the trainees, where all trainees had the opportunity to perform obstetric and gynecological USG examinations on patients prepared by the committee.
The third day included the Basic Obgyn USG Competency Test (OSCE) by all trainees, the announcement of the Basic Obgyn USG Competency Test results, and the announcement of the top 3 trainees during the training, where dr. Abraham Sihotang was one of the best participants in the Basic USG training. The event was then concluded by the Training Director.
