Located in the Hall of Faculty of Medicine USU, Saturday, March 04, 2023, the Faculty of Medicine USU held the Conferral of the Neurosurgery Specialist Brevet and the Introduction of New PPDS. also attended the event Vice Dean I Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M. Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., USU University Secretary, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R., Head of the Neurosurgery Department, Dr. dr. Andre Marolop Pangihutan Siahaan M.Ked (Neurosurg), Sp.BS., Head of the Neurosugery Study Program, Prof. Dr. dr. Ridha Dharmajaya Sp.BS.(K), Secretary of the Neurosurgery Department, dr. Steven Tandean M.Ked (Neurosurg), SpBS., Secretary of the Neurosurgery Study Program dr. Abdurrahman Mousa Arsyad M.Ked (Neurosurg), Sp.BS., and other academicians.

 

 

In his remarks, Vice Dean I of Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M. Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K) explained that “The Ministry of Health is now prioritizing nine diseases, and one of them is stroke. Of course, the need for neurosurgery is one thing that we must spur, so we are asked to increase the neurosurgery quota so that the acceleration of neurosurgery, which is a necessity, can be contributed to minimal health services in North Sumatra.”

 

USU University Secretary Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M. Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R., also responded positively to this and hoped that the emergence of new neurosurgeons could overcome the gap in the number of neurosurgeons and be well distributed in this NKRI region.

 

 

In his remarks, the Head of the Neurosurgery Study Program, Prof. Dr. dr. Ridha Dharmajaya Sp.BS. (K), hopes that after receiving this brevet, the new neurosurgery specialist can contribute to the benefit of many people by prioritizing quality, ethics, and knowledge.

 

At the Neurosurgery Specialist Brevet Awarding event, Vice Dean I of Faculty of Medicine USU also welcomed the joining of the new Neurosurgery PPDS. Vice Dean I of Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M. Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K), hopes that the new PPDS can prepare well, study well, and later graduate on time to contribute their energy and thoughts to the Indonesian nation.
