Sunday, January 22, 2023. The USU Faculty of Medicine held the Conferral of Specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Credential. Located at the Grand Mercure Hotel, the event was attended by Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt, Vice Dean II FK USU Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K), Ka. Dept. Dr. dr. Tasrif Hamdi, M. Ked (An), SpAn. KMN, Head of Andriamuri Primaputra Lubis, M. Ked (An), SpAn. KIC, and other academicians.
USU Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt said this must be well appreciated because it is proof that the professionalism and ability of a doctor in a field is officially recognized. “The conferral of specialist credential is an official recognition of the professionalism and competence possessed by a doctor in a special field,” said WR III USU in her speech.
With the inauguration of 16 Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialists, VR III USU hopes they will be dedicated and trustworthy in their obligations. In addition, the Specialists are expected to be committed and consistently serve the community, especially at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Hospital.
At the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt welcomed the new PPDS Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy. “For new specialist doctors, we hope for their great contribution and commitment to serving patients, especially at USU Hospital. As for the new PPDS, we hope they can complete their studies on time,” she said.
With the increase in the number of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialists, Ka. Anesthesiology & Intensive Therapy Specialist Study Program FK USU dr. Andriamuri Primaputra Lubis, M. Ked (An), SpAn. KIC, hopes to be able to help the needs of anesthesia services well, especially in the North Sumatra region. “So this Anesthesia Study Program has been established since 2001 and has produced 165 graduates. Today, we give a sign of expertise to 16 people and an introduction to the new PPDS 10 people. Hopefully, in the future, more of our graduates will be on time and meet the needs of anesthesia services, especially in the North Sumatra region,” said the Head of Anesthesia and Intensive Therapy Specialist Program.
