Thursday, February 2, 2023. The Faculty of Medicine USU held the Conferral of Specialists in Pulmonary Credentials and Introduction of New PPDS. Located at the Grand Inna Hotel Medan, the event was attended by Vice Dean II of Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K), Head of Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine Department, Dr. dr. Amira Permatasari Tarigan, M.Ked., Sp.P(K), Head of Prof Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine Study Program, Dr. dr. Noni Novisari Soeroso, M.Ked(Pulmonary), Sp.P, Onk.T(K), FISR, Secretary of Pulmonology & Respiratory Department, Medicine Dr. Andika Pradana M.Ked(Paru), Sp.P., Secretary of Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine Study Program dr. Syamsul Bihar M.Ked (Paru), Sp.P (K), FISR., and other academicians.
In his remarks, Vice Dean II of Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K), said, “Hopefully, the knowledge gained during education can certainly be applied later in the community because we know that in the last 2 to 3 years, we have been hit by a pandemic which is quite absorbing energy and thoughts. Of course, we from the faculty give our greatest appreciation to all PPDS staff and all staff in Pulmonary who have made such a big contribution during the pandemic yesterday. We are also quite proud of the Pulmonary Study Program, which has been accredited as Superior and is quite a spectacular achievement”.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Vice Dean II of Facutoy of Medicine USU also welcomed the new Pulmonary PPDS. And explained that “New specialists must improve their quality again because it is known that there are so many challenges in society later and we cannot be stagnant with the knowledge we get from the time of the specialist education level alone, of course science continues to develop and technology must also continue to develop, participate in all education - education or training - training held by the Indonesian Pulmonary Association ”
