The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), once again achieved notable accomplishments in a series of competitions held to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).
In the competition, FK USU won three awards across various categories: 1st Place in the TikTok Content Competition, 2nd Place in the Bazaar Booth Table Decoration Competition, and 3rd Place in the Women’s Volleyball Competition. These achievements are a source of pride for the entire FK USU community and demonstrate the diverse potential of its academic community beyond the academic field.
Winning 1st Place in the TikTok Content Competition and 2nd Place in the Bazaar Booth Table Decoration Competition reflects the creativity and ability of the FK USU academic community to develop ideas and produce engaging work. Participation in these competitions also provided an opportunity for members of the academic community to express their creativity, foster collaboration, and strengthen communication and togetherness.
The development of creativity and skills through various non-academic activities also supports SDG 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes not only academic achievement but also the holistic development of individual skills, creativity, and potential.
Meanwhile, the 3rd Place achievement in the Women’s Volleyball Competition demonstrates the sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and solidarity displayed by the FK USU community. Sports activities also play an important role in creating a campus environment that supports physical activity and the well-being of the academic community.
Participation in sports activities and the promotion of an active lifestyle are in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, through efforts to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and create an environment that supports health and well-being.
More than just competitive achievements, these accomplishments reflect the solidarity and spirit of togetherness of the FK USU community in actively participating in various university activities. The collaborative spirit demonstrated across each competition serves as an important foundation for building a positive academic and working environment.
FK USU extends its appreciation to all teams who participated and contributed their best efforts throughout the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence competitions.
