The Doctor’s Oath Batch IV Academic Year 2023/2024 was held at Universitas Sumatera Utara Student Center. Attending the event was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of USU Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K)., Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M. Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K)., Vice Dean III dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis M.Ked (Ped)., Sp.A, Ph.D., President Director of Haji Adam Malik (HAM) Medan Hospital represented by Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research of HAM Medan Hospital Dr. Faisal Habib, Sp.JP(K), FIHA., President Director of Chairuddin P. Lubis USU Hospital represented by Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research of CPL USU Hospital Dr. dr. Gema Nazri Yanni M.Ked(Ped), Sp.A(K)., Ka. Prof. Dr. dr. Rina Amelia MARS, Sp.KKLP., Head of TKP-PPDS Dr. dr. Cut Adeya Adella Sp.OG (K)., along with other academicians.

In his remarks, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), explained that “New doctors are required always to be consistent in implementing the contents of the doctor's oath and the medical code of ethics, obey the law, and behave professionally. New doctors must always be willing to add knowledge while carrying out their profession as doctors. New doctors will get training and develop skills through an internship program guided by a supervising doctor at the hospital for 1 (one) year. Through this internship, the new doctors will be better equipped to serve the community.”

The Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine also said “New doctors are also required to understand information technology to follow the development of medical science. With careful preparation accompanied by qualified professional abilities, it is hoped that the new doctors who have taken their oaths are ready to be placed anywhere to provide optimal health services to the community.”
