Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Universitas Sumatera Utara Student Center, the Oath of Doctor Period I Academic Year 2023/2024 was held. Also attending the event was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of USU Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M. Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K)., Ka. Study Program of Medical Education and Profession Dr. dr. Rina Amelia MARS, Sp.KKLP, Sec. Doctor Education and Profession Study Program dr. Dina Arwina Dalimunthe M.Ked (KK), Sp.KK,. Dir. USU Teaching Hospital Dr. dr. Hendry Salim Siregar, Sp.OG (K)., along with other academicians.
In his remarks, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), explained that “New doctors are required to always be consistent in implementing the contents of the doctor's oath and the medical code of ethics, obey the law and behave professionally. New doctors must have the willingness to always add knowledge while carrying out their profession as doctors. New doctors will receive training and refine their skills through an intership program, which will be guided by a supervising doctor at the hospital for 1 (one) year. Through this process, the skills of new doctors will be more honed and better prepared when serving the community.
Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K) also said that as an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sumatera Utara, you are required to always work to the best of your abilities. Work professionally according to your competence by always upholding ethics and complying with all applicable regulations. Be agents of change in your respective environments. Keep the good name of the alma mater. Make the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara proud in the community. Don't forget to always maintain communication with this beloved Alma Mater. Give input and constructive criticism for the progress of your beloved Alma Mater.
