The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), extends its appreciation and congratulations to dr. Cindy Adityoputri, Pediatric Resident (Y4) of FK USU, on her notable achievement as one of the seven ASEAN Scholarship Winners in the 2026 Global Pediatric Resident Program.
This achievement is a source of pride for FK USU and reflects the commitment of students to developing their competencies and broadening their academic experiences at the international level. Through this program, dr. Cindy will have the opportunity to participate in a Two-Day Immersive Experience at Boston Children's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, United States, which will be held on November 4–5, 2026.
dr. Cindy's participation in this international program is also in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. The opportunity to gain learning experiences in an international academic and clinical environment can enrich students' knowledge, skills, and perspectives. This experience forms part of a continuous education process that promotes competency development and improves the quality of human resources in the health sector.

In addition to the educational aspect, this program also reflects the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the development of cross-border academic and professional networks. Interaction and exchange of experiences with institutions and participants from international environments can contribute to strengthening collaboration, sharing knowledge, and building professional relationships that support the advancement of education and pediatric healthcare.
As one of the ASEAN Scholarship recipients, dr. Cindy is expected to gain valuable experience that can enrich her perspective and provide inspiration for the development of pediatric healthcare in Indonesia. FK USU also hopes that this international experience can be shared and provide benefits to the academic community, particularly in supporting improvements in the quality of education and pediatric healthcare in the future.
