On Monday, April 14, 2025, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI), accompanied by a delegation from the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS). The visit took place at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) USU. The five-member delegation was welcomed by the Steering Committee of the Regional Collaborating Centre (RCC) USU-SDGHI, which also serves as the Dean and Vice Dean III of FK USU, namely Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S(K) and Dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis, PGDipPID, M.Ked(Ped), Sp.A, Ph.D., along with the RCC USU-SDGHI Workgroup, Dr. rer. medic., dr. M. Ichwan, M.Sc, Sp.KKLP, Subsp.FOMC, and Dr. Fauzi Budi Satria, MPH, Ph.D.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the potential extension of the cooperation between USU and SDGHI and possible forms of cooperation in the coming years. In addition, SDGHI presented information on submitting proposals for research grants under various schemes. SDGHI and the grant recipients from the first and second years also exchanged insights on their experiences and opportunities for improvement in the proposal submission process, hoping to enhance both the quality and number of accepted proposals in the following year.

The follow-up to this visit will be monitored and evaluated online via Zoom by the RCC USU-SDGHI team.
