Monday, February 12, 2024. Located in the 3rd floor hall of FK USU. The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) again received a visit from the Indonesian Health Higher Education Self-Accreditation Agency (LAM-PTKes), in the context of the Accreditation Field Assessment of the USU Faculty of Medicine Subspecialist Study Program (Sp-2) Surgical Sciences.

 

 

Representing the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., warmly welcomed the arrival of 2 assessor teams from LAM-PTKes, namely Dr. dr. Kiki Lukman, M.Si., Sp.B, Subsp.BD(K) and dr. Nurcahya Setyawan, Sp.B, Subsp.BD(K),. Also present were the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K)., Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K),. and Vice Dean III Faculty of Medicine USU dr. Inke Diniyanti Lubis, Sp.A, PhD., along with other academicians.

In his remarks, USU Vice Rector I Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., said that the Surgical Science Sub-Specialty Study Program, which is one of the new study programs at FK USU, will succeed in getting a good minimum accreditation. As well as ensuring that the curriculum, teaching staff, and facilities provided meet high standards.

 

 

The Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs is optimistic that this study program will have the potential to become one of the leading study programs that contribute positively to the development of surgical science in Indonesia. With a joint commitment, it can create an academic environment that encourages innovation, research, and the development of qualified expertise in the field of surgical science. Hopefully this new study program can produce competent, high-quality and widely useful graduates.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), revealed that the Surgical Science Sub-Specialist Study Program at USU is a new Study Program which is the Chancellor's program. Later this Study Program is expected to become a great potential and continue to serve the community in the field of internal medicine.

The assessor team I, dr. Nurcahya Setyawan. Sp.B-KBD, said that the assessor team has assessment indicator criteria, one of which is to see the readiness and completeness of the Study Program documents to be assessed.

The field assessment of the Surgical Science Subspecialist (Sp-2) Study Program was held from February 12-13, 2024. Hopefully the field assessment activities of the Surgical Science Subspecialist (Sp-2) Study Program will get the best results.
