Monday, November 6, 2023. The Faculty of Medicine (FK)of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received another visit from the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) in the context of a field assessment of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program, which took place at the 3rd Floor of the FK USU Hall.
The Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin S.Sos., M.Si, represented by the Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of USU, Dr. Edy Ikhsan S.H., M.A welcomed the arrival of 2 assessor teams from LAM-PTKes, namely Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin A.M, Sp.O.G. (K), MARS, M.Sc; with Prof. Dr. dr. Aryono Hendarto, MPH, Sp.A (K),. Also present were the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S(K), and Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked(PA), Sp.PA(K), Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K), Vice Dean III dr. Inke Diniyanti Lubis, Sp.A, PhD, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Dr. dr. Johny Marpaung M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K)., Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program Dr. dr. Edy Ardiansyah M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)., Secretary of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Dr. dr. Melvin Nova Gunawanto Barus M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K), Secretary of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program Dr. Iman Helmi Effendi M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)., along with other academicians.
In his remarks, Vice Rector I of USU appreciated the achievements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at FK USU related to partnerships with domestic and foreign institutions, which brought innovation in academic services. The collaboration designs learning programs such as visiting professors, joint research, and publication and provides space for implementing the tridharma of higher education.
Dr. Edy Ikhsan S.H., M.A hopes that through this assessment, the assessors will get good information, evaluation, and recommendations so that the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program of FK USU gets the best recognition for its performance by maintaining the previous status of accredited A to Superior.
In the remarks of the assessor Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin A.M, Sp.O.G. (K), MARS, M.Sc., they explained that the field assessment activities consisted of 9 main standard components, such as the vision and mission of the study program, resources and governance, alumni and students, curriculum and education, research and service, as well as outputs and outcomes including financial aspects.
The Dean of FK USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), expressed his hope for the arrival of the two assessors from LAM-PTKes, who are expected to provide a lot of valuable input. This input will be the basis for continuing to impove the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at FK USU.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program's field assessment activities were held from 6 - 7 November 2023. Hopefully, the program's field assessment activities will yield the best results.
