A proud achievement was earned by the delegation from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The team, consisting of Ananda Putri Miftahul Janah (Student ID 230100176) and Alexander Williams Manalu (Student ID 230100086), secured 1st Place in the Literature Review category at Festival Science Competition (FASCIA) FK UHT 2026.
The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Hang Tuah once again hosted the Festival Science Competition (FASCIA) 2026, a prestigious scientific competition bringing together medical students from various institutions across Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Reproductive Health and Disease: Advancements, Clinical Challenges, and Future Innovations in Human Reproduction,” the event served as a platform for students to explore the latest developments, clinical challenges, and future innovations in the field of human reproductive health.
In this year’s competition, the delegation from the Faculty of Medicine USU achieved a remarkable accomplishment. The team of Ananda Putri Miftahul Janah and Alexander Williams Manalu successfully won 1st Place in the Literature Review category at FASCIA FK UHT 2026.
In the competition, the FK USU team presented a scientific paper entitled:
“Integration of Fibrinogen Thromboelastometry Amplitude at 5 Minutes (FIBTEM A5) Parameters and Administration of Fibrinogen Concentrate in Optimizing Adjuvant Therapy in the Management of Postpartum Hemorrhage and Prevention of Maternal Mortality: A Literature Review on the Use of FIBTEM A5 Parameters in Determining the Administration of Fibrinogen Concentrate as Personalized Adjuvant Therapy.”
This achievement is a source of pride for Universitas Sumatera Utara and is expected to inspire other students to remain actively engaged in contributing to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in the field of health.
