The delegation of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), once again achieved an accomplishment at the Medical Veteran Project (MVP) 2026 organized by the Faculty of Medicine, UPN Veteran. In the competition, the FK USU delegation won 2nd Place in the Literature Review category.
The achievement was earned by three FK USU students, namely Muhammad Radit Aditya, Zahwa Hanan Baizura, and Aisyah Aulia Az-Zahra Ikhsan. This accomplishment was the result of their enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, academic abilities, and dedication to developing their knowledge and skills in the field of medicine.
The Literature Review competition provides a platform for students to develop their ability to search for, examine, and analyze various scientific sources. Through this process, students not only deepen their knowledge of medicine but also develop critical thinking skills, formulate arguments based on scientific evidence, and work collaboratively to produce academic works.
The participation of FK USU students in academic activities such as the Medical Veteran Project also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. Participation in scientific competitions provides learning experiences beyond the classroom that can strengthen knowledge, academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and the continuous development of student potential.
In addition, FK USU's participation in an event that brings together students from medical education institutions also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Interaction and collaboration among students and higher education institutions create opportunities to exchange knowledge, experiences, and ideas in the field of medicine, while expanding academic networks that can support the development of medical education.
The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sumatera Utara expresses its appreciation and pride for the achievement of Muhammad Radit Aditya, Zahwa Hanan Baizura, and Aisyah Aulia Az-Zahra Ikhsan. This accomplishment is expected to motivate FK USU students to continue developing their potential, improving their academic abilities, and actively participating in various scientific activities and competitions at the national and international levels.
