The Tripartite MoU follows previous understandings and cooperation among the three institutions. Through the agreement, FK USU, RSP Chairuddin P. Lubis USU, and RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan will strengthen synergy and coordination by optimizing their respective potential and resources to support various activities in the health sector.

In the field of education, the collaboration is expected to support the delivery of high-quality learning while providing students and trainees with more contextual educational experiences. Collaboration between educational institutions and hospitals also plays an important role in developing the competencies of future healthcare professionals.
Strengthening the quality of education is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. Synergy between FK USU and its two hospital partners is expected to expand opportunities for practice-based learning while supporting education that is relevant to the needs of healthcare services.

In addition to education, the Tripartite MoU provides a foundation for strengthening research and community service. Collaboration among the three institutions is expected to encourage the development of research addressing relevant health issues and the implementation of community service programs that provide meaningful benefits to society.
These efforts also support SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by strengthening the contribution of educational institutions and healthcare facilities to improving the health and well-being of the community.
The signing of the Tripartite MoU also reflects a commitment to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The partnership between FK USU, RSP Chairuddin P. Lubis USU, and RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan represents a concrete step toward building interinstitutional collaboration to achieve shared goals through education, research, and community service.
Through the Tripartite MoU, the three institutions are committed to continuously strengthening communication, coordination, and the implementation of collaborative programs that benefit the academic community, healthcare professionals, institutions, and society. This synergy is expected to serve as a foundation for sustainable collaboration in advancing medical education, research, community service, and healthcare delivery.
