Medan – The men's volleyball team of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) earned its first victory in the Group B preliminary round of the volleyball tournament held to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The match, played at the FK USU Volleyball Court, featured FK USU against the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives (Dit THK) USU.
In a match marked by enthusiasm and sportsmanship, the FK USU team controlled the game from the outset. Demonstrating excellent teamwork, effective communication, and disciplined execution of its game plan, FK USU secured a 2–0 victory over Dit THK.
The match drew enthusiastic support from both players and spectators, creating a lively and spirited atmosphere. Beyond serving as a sporting competition, the tournament also provided an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie and foster closer relationships among faculties and administrative units across Universitas Sumatera Utara in celebration of Indonesia's Independence Day.
The victory provides positive momentum for the FK USU men's volleyball team as it prepares for its next Group B preliminary match against the Directorate of Digital Learning (Dit DP) USU, scheduled for August 3, 2026. The team hopes to maintain its fighting spirit, discipline, and cohesion to achieve another strong performance in the upcoming fixture.
