Medan, August 31, 2026 – The Faculty of Medicine USU held a coordination meeting and presentation of field reports on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Dean's Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, FK USU. The activity served as a forum for evaluation and coordination to strengthen the implementation of work programs and improve the effectiveness of governance within FK USU.
The activity was attended by the Dean of FK USU, Vice Deans, Managers, the Heads and Secretaries of TKP-PPDS, Department Heads, the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Medicine, and the Head of the Medical Profession Program. The presence of faculty leadership and academic management elements reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that various faculty programs and activities are implemented in a directed and integrated manner and in accordance with the established targets.
This coordination and evaluation activity also supported Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education through efforts to strengthen governance and improve the quality of higher education in the field of medicine.
The activity was opened by the Dean of FK USU, who emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral coordination in supporting improvements in the quality of education, resource management, research and community service, as well as strengthening cooperation and internationalization of the faculty.
The activity continued with the Vice Deans presenting developments, achievements, evaluations, and various matters requiring attention and follow-up in the implementation of the faculty's work programs. The materials presented covered the fields of Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs; Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure; as well as Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization.
The presentations served as a means of reviewing the overall progress of program implementation, identifying various challenges encountered, and formulating strategic steps to improve the performance of FK USU. The discussion also focused on strengthening synergy among faculty leadership, departments, study programs, TKP-PPDS, and related work units.
After all presentations were completed, the activity continued with a question-and-answer and discussion session, providing participants with an opportunity to raise questions, provide input, and discuss various matters requiring follow-up. The activity was also in line with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, particularly in building synergy and collaboration among faculty leadership, departments, study programs, and work units in achieving the strategic goals of FK USU.
