A spirit of togetherness and healthy living marked the opening of the 74th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) celebration of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through a Fun Walk held on June 28, 2026, on the Faculty's campus. The event brought together faculty leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, and members of the USU Faculty of Medicine community in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie.
The Fun Walk served as one of the opening events of the anniversary celebration, aiming not only to encourage members of the academic community to adopt a healthy lifestyle but also to strengthen relationships and foster a greater sense of unity within the Faculty of Medicine. Throughout the event, participants enjoyed a leisurely walk along the designated route while taking part in a variety of engaging activities that further enlivened the celebration.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. dr. Muara Panusunan Lubis, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG., Subsp.K.Fm, who stated that the anniversary represents an important opportunity to strengthen solidarity while reflecting on the Faculty's long-standing contributions to medical education, research, and healthcare services.
