On November 4, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) held a guest lecture featuring Prof. Rusly Harsono, MD, M.Sc., MBA, FAAP, DipABLM from Stanford University, School of Medicine, California, United States, an expert in Lifestyle Medicine and an alumnus of FK USU. The event, which took place in the 4th floor hall of FK USU, started at 10:00 WIB and ended at 13:00 WIB.
The guest lecture was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of FK USU, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked(PA), Sp.PA(K), attended by the Vice Dean III, dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis, PGDipPID, M. Ked(Ped), Sp.A, Ph.D., several professors and lecturers of FK USU, and postgraduate students.
With the theme “Revolutionizing Health: The Transformative Power of Lifestyle Medicine”, Prof. Rusly delivered various perspectives on the role of a healthy lifestyle in preventing and managing chronic diseases.
For about two hours, Prof. Rusly presented the material in depth and conducted an interactive session that engaged the participants in educational games. This activity made the atmosphere more lively and encouraged the participants to actively participate in understanding lifestyle health concepts in an interesting way.
This guest lecture event aims to provide additional insights for participants, especially FK USU postgraduate students.
