Tuesday, February 04, 2025. In the 3rd Floor Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a handover of new students of the Specialist Doctor Education Program (Sp-1), MKK, and Subspecialist (Sp-2) Faculty of Medicine USU for the February 2025 Period. There are 134 new students who will continue their education at the USU Faculty of Medicine.
Also present were the Directorate of Education Development, Ikhsan Siregar S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., representing the Vice Rector I, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K)., Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean III, dr. Inke Nadia D. Lubis, PGDip.PID., M. Ked(Ped), Sp.A, Ph.D., Head of PPDS TKP Dr. dr. Cut Adeya Adella, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)., Secretary of PPDS TKP, dr. Badai Buana Nasution, M.Ked(Ped), Sp.A(K)., Prof. Dr. dr. Elmeida Effendy, M.Ked(KJ)., Sp.KJ(K)., along with other academicians.
This activity was opened with a Socialization by Dr. Badai Buana Nasution, M.Ked (Ped), Sp.A (K) as Secretary of the PPDS TKP by introducing the Education System for Specialist and Subspecialist Education Programs. In addition to the handover of new students, there were also socialization activities related to the Prevention of bullying and Sex Harassment in the FK USU Specialist Doctor Education Program Environment, which was filled by resource person Prof. Dr. dr. Elmeida Effendy, M.Ked (KJ)., Sp.KJ (K) and also Prevention of Plagiarism in the FK USU Environment by resource person Dr. dr. Cut Adeya Adella, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K).
Directorate of Education Development, Ikhsan Siregar said “We believe and trust the students to remain enthusiastic in facing the academic process in the future. have a high learning spirit and dedication and hard work which is an initial process to achieve success”.
“We also need to maintain ethics during the academic process. Of course, this also applies to all educators so that they can guide students to have academic morals and ethics to form students who are prosefisoinal and, of course, useful for society.” he added.
In his remarks, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Syafrudin Rambe, Sp.S (K), congratulated the newly accepted PPDS, the PPDS were the people chosen to take part in education at the USU Faculty of Medicine. The Dean also reminded the ethics that are highly upheld in the USU FK environment, such as “Adab First New Science,” because someone who has knowledge but does not have adab will not be of use to humans.
“We must also have strong physical and mental abilities in living life to become a good doctor and have effective communication with patients and patients' families,” added Prof. Aldi.
The Chairperson of the PPDS TKP, Dr. dr. Cut Adeya Adella, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K), through the materials that have been delivered by the speakers in this activity, hopes that PPDS students will not run away from the practice of plagiarism and bullying in the FK USU environment.
This activity also ended with socialization from Ust. Dr. Ahmad Zuhri Rangkuti Lc., M.H.I presented material on “Good educational behavior procedures ethically and religious norms” and closed with a question and answer session.
