The Fun Walk activity is held regularly every month and is organized alternately by all study programs within the Faculty of Medicine. According to Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked(OG)., Sp.OG(K), Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), such events play an important role in fostering a healthy and competitive academic community.

Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked(OG)., Sp.OG(K), officially flagged off hundreds of participants in the Clinical Medicine x Medicolegal Forensic Fun Walk themed “Dari Kita untuk Kita FK USU Jaya”, held at the Main Gate Courtyard of the Faculty of Medicine on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Dr. Muara explained that the Fun Walk is a regular monthly event organized alternately by all study programs within the Faculty of Medicine. According to her, such activities play an important role in shaping a healthy and competitive academic community. “We aim to create a campus environment that encourages an active, healthy, and productive lifestyle. Health is not only about the physical aspect but also mental and social well-being,” she said.

This edition of the Fun Walk came with a fresh concept which is ‘Fun Walk & Festival’ that combines the leisurely walk with various games such as Mobile Legends, PES tournaments, and more. The event was made possible through the collaboration of committees from the Clinical Medicine and Medicolegal Forensic study programs. Prof. Dedy Hermansyah, Head of the Clinical Medicine Study Program, accompanied by dr. Adriansyah Lubis, Head of the Organizing Committee and also Head of the Forensic Study Program, stated, “The main goal of this event is to strengthen the bonds among the academic community of FK USU.”

Furthermore, Prof. Dedy noted that the event was attended by all members of the FK USU academic community, including professors, staff, educators, residents (PPDS), and clinical clerks (co-assistants).
The event concluded with lively entertainment and the distribution of prizes for competition winners and door prize recipients, adding to the festive atmosphere of this edition of the Fun Walk.
