In the remarks of the President Director of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan, Dr. Zainal Safri, SpPD-KKV, SpJP (K), said that “education must certainly continue to be upgraded, especially for specialists who have just been inaugurated, and there are many places to upgrade such as seminars, symposiums, and or can also take consultants, Sp-2 consultants”. Sri Suriani Purnamawati, Apt, M.Kes., also explained that the problem of meeting the needs of the community for health is currently still lacking then the uneven distribution of specialists because most specialists wait in big cities even though talking about the ratio of specialists has exceeded the target. However, many hospitals still lack specialists, especially hospitals in the regions. Taking into account to increase public access to quality health services throughout Indonesia, on this occasion, we appeal to newly appointed specialist doctors who are willing to serve in areas that still need specialist doctors and also to organizations and professions that are expected to participate in the distribution of specialist doctors in North Sumatra.
