The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara welcomed the new class of 2023 students by carrying out the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara 2023, intending to provide provisions for success in pursuing higher education. The activities were carried out for 3 days, from Friday, August 18, 2023, to Sunday, August 20, 2023, with a combination of activities from the University and Faculty. With the theme of 'Increase Solidarity, Achieve Quality Character,' PKKMB FK USU 2023 is expected to be a momentum for new students to get accurate information about the education system at the Faculty of Medicine, both in the academic and non-academic fields. In addition, PKKMB is also expected to be a medium for early introduction among fellow new students to strengthen the bond of fellowship further and as an orientation for student awareness as an academician with high responsibility.

The event was officially opened by beating the gong in the 3rd-floor hall of FK USU by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp. S(K) and other invited guests after the university's opening ceremony at the USU Mini Stadium. The series of activities, which included the election of class representatives, presentation of material, and socialization of PUSPRESMA & ORMAWA, ended at 17.00 WIB.

On the second day, the activity began with gymnastics, followed by the presentation of material, small group discussion, expert plenary simulation, PKM center socialization, a tour of the Faculty of Medicine of USU, talk show, ice-breaking, impressions, and messages, as well as awarding with the categories of Best Male Participant, Best Female Participant, Most Critical Participant, and Most Cooperative Group. Before the official closing ceremony, the committee held entertainment in the form of a flash mob performance, followed by a band performance that invited all participants to participate. The official activity ended with a series of closing remarks by the Chairman of the Committee, the Governor of PEMA FK USU, the Chairman of PSPPD FK USU, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of USU, as well as beating the gong. After that, a group photo was taken, and participants were sent home.

Although the PKKMB at the faculty has ended, on Sunday, August 20, 2023, students were directed to gather at the USU Mini Stadium to close PKKMB USU 2023 officially. The third day carried the theme of "Gebyar Literasi Nusantara dalam Gerakan Literasi Sejuta Pemirsa," in collaboration with the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). The activity began with a fun walk and entertainment performances and continued with the faculty mosaic performance. The activity ended at 12.00 WIB, and participants could return to their homes.
