Thursday, August 24, 2023. Faculty of Medicine Hall, Universitas Sumatera Utara received a visit from LAM PT-Kes for Master of Neurosurgery Study Program Accreditation Field Assessment at the Faculty of Medicine, USU. The assessor from LAM PT-Kes was Prof. Dr. dr. Sri Maliawan, Sp. BS., Subsp, N-Ped. FICS from Universitas Udayana and Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjornarko, M. Kes, Sp. N, Subsp. NNNK (K) from Universitas Diponegoro. The event was opened directly by the Vice Rector IV for Information, Planning and Development Prof. Dr. Opim Salim Sitompul, M Sc., and also attended by USU Faculty of Medicine Dean,  Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Muara P. Lubis, M.Ked (OG), Sp.OG (K),. The event was also attended by Neurosurgery Study Program Head Prof. Dr. dr. Ridha Dharmajaya Sp.BS.(K), Neurosurgery Study Program Secretary, dr. Abdurrahman Mousa Arsyad M.Ked (Neurosurg), Sp.BS., and other academicians.
 

In his remarks, Vice Rector IV of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Opim Salim Sitompul, M Sc, said that the USU Neurosurgery study Program obtained many achievements in academics, student affairs, lecturers, infrastructure facilities, research studies, and cooperation. This activity is carried out to get a validity assessment of the LAM-PTKes team from the reported documents.

The Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S (K), said that he had prepared well beforehand. Neurosurgery Faculty of Medicine USU is one of the study programs prepared for advance development.
In the remarks from the assessor team, Prof. Dr. dr. Sri Maliawan, Sp. BS., Subsp, N-Ped. FICS mentioned that almost all aspects were assessed to ensure the feasibility and progress of Neurosurgery Specialist learning. He said the assessors would highlight and assess deficiencies, then verify the report according to what happens in the field during that day.


Prof. Dr. Dr. Dwi Pudjornarko, M. Kes, Sp. N, Subsp. NNNK (K) said that this accreditation process is regular and must be done by study programs to maintain the quality of their graduates through assessments of various aspects, including academics, student affairs, resources, lecturers, infrastructure, research studies, and cooperation.
