Basic Ultrasound Training was held at Cambridge Hotel Medan, Medan City, on 6 - 8 May 2024 and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU)was allowed to become the organizing committee. Basic Ultrasound Training this time was attended by 4 centers, namely FK USU, FK USK, FK UNRI, FK UNAND. This training was organized by the Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Collegium (KOGI) to improve and strengthen the skills and knowledge of ob-gyn Specialist Program so that they can provide better ultrasound services.
On the first day, the training was opened by singing the Indonesia Raya song, followed by a prayer. The event continued with remarks from the Chairman of the Department of OBGYN FK USU Dr. dr. Johny Marpaung, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp. K.Fm, remarks from the Dean of FK USU Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S (K), officially opened the event by the Training Director, Prof. Dr. dr. dr. M. Fidel. Dr. dr. M. Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG, Subsp.F.E.R. For the training rundown on the first day, a Pre-Test was conducted to the participants and material presentation by trainers from various centers.
On the second and third days, the training focused on practical guidance by the participants to pregnant patients. The trainers directly supervised the training. The training event was closed by a Post-Test and closing remarks from the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Johny Marpaung, M.Ked (OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp. K.Fm.
