The Student Organization of USU Faculty of Medicine (PEMA FK USU) Grand Community Service 2023 is the most prominent work program held by the PEMA FK USU Community Service Department. The event was held at MTS Al-Washliyah Serbelawan, Dolok Batu Nanggar Simalungun District, North Sumatra. The event ran for 2 days, starting with free medical treatment on Saturday, October 28, 2023, and continuing with mass circumcision on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
The event's opening was attended by the Head of Serbelawan Village, the Head of Dolok Batu Nanggar District, representatives of Serbelawan Community Health Center, and the Doctor in Charge of the activity, Dr. Erjan Fikri M.Ked (Surg), Sp.B, Sp.BA (K).
The free medical treatment activity invited 8 departments, including the Departments of Pediatrics, ENT, Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, Dermatology and Venereology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Eye, and Anatomical Pathology. In addition, health counseling was also held by Student Activity Units under PEMA FK USU, namely SCORA, SCORE, and FOSKAMI. The total number of participants who registered for general treatment was 200 people.
The mass circumcision activity invited the Department of Surgical Sciences. A total of 105 people registered as circumcision participants. The doctor in charge of the activity, Dr. dr. Erjan Fikri M.Ked (Surg), Sp.B, Sp.BA (K) was also present and held counseling to parents and circumcision participants about circumcision.
The event went smoothly and the community and village officials welcomed this activity very well.
