Thursday (17/01/2025) The Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., and his staff visited the USU Faculty of Medicine for the Rector's Working Visit, which is carried out annually. This working visit was conducted in the 3rd-floor hall of the USU Faculty of Medicine. The Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), attended it, accompanied by Vice Dean II, Vice Dean III, and Expert Staff. Also present were the Head and Secretary of the Study Program and the Head and Secretary of the Department.
This activity was opened by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K). In addition to thanking all participants who attended this event, he also hoped that all participants could listen carefully to some important things that the USU Rector would convey so that in 2025, the Faculty of Medicine's work program could be in accordance with the policies of the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
“Thank you to all colleagues who can take the time to attend this event, I hope we can listen to the important presentation that will be delivered by the USU Rector”, said Prof. Aldy.
In his presentation, the USU Rector emphasized the importance of open dialogue between university leaders and the academic community in each faculty, especially at the USU Faculty of Medicine. According to him, this visit is an effort to listen directly to aspirations, challenges, and innovations that can be developed.
“This visit is clear evidence that we want to directly understand the needs and potential in each faculty. We must work together to realize relevant and impactful innovations,” said Prof. Muryanto.
This annual working visit also serves as a momentum to evaluate the alignment of the Faculty of Medicine program with the University's strategic plan. The USU Rector said that the university's success is not only measured by academic achievements but also by how USU is able to become a driver of change in society.
In the last session, all participants who attended this meeting had the opportunity to submit input and questions directly related to the material presented by the USU Rector and his staff.
