A delegation from SingHealth paid an official visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Dean’s Office on the second floor. This visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the existing partnership and to formulate strategic steps for the future development of education and research, particularly within FK USU.
The SingHealth delegation included Prof. Lucien London, Prof. Chong Teck Kwa, Prof. Balram Chowbay, Mr. Wayan Tsai, and Ns. Ellaine. The delegation was warmly received by the Dean of FK USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S(K), accompanied by the Vice Dean III, who also serves as Director of USU Hospital, dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis, PGDip PID, FAAET, M.Ked(Ped)., Sp.A., Ph.D., Dr. rer. medic., along with dr. M. Ichwan, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP, Subsp.FOMC; Prof. Dr. dr. Dina Keumala Sari, M.Gizi, Sp.GK, Subsp.PK.; Prof. dr. Putri Chairani Eyanoer, Ms.Epi, Ph.D., FISPH., FISCM., Sp.KKLP; Dr. dr. Alfansuri Kadri, Sp.S(K); and dr. Fauzi Budi Satria, MPH, Ph.D.
The audience session held at the Dean’s Office reviewed various ongoing collaborative achievements while also evaluating future partnership opportunities. Discussions focused on strengthening educational capacity, improving research quality, and exploring cross-institutional collaborations that could significantly contribute to the advancement of medical science.
Following the meeting with the faculty leadership, the SingHealth delegation was scheduled to continue their visit to the Universitas Sumatera Utara rectorate. During this session, the delegation would be received by the Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., and the Director of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, Prof. Dr. dr. Dewi Masyithah Darlan, DAP&E, MPH, Sp.Park.
This visit is expected to further strengthen the partnership between SingHealth and Universitas Sumatera Utara, while also opening broader opportunities for collaboration in advancing education and research at both national and international levels.
