The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), organized the Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) on April 8, 2026, held in the Meeting Room, 1st Floor of FK USU. The event was attended by finalist students who had passed the previous selection stages. Also present was the Vice Dean I of FK USU, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked(PA)., Sp.PA., who was accompanied by Dr. dr. Rusdiana, M.Kes.
All finalists delivered their best performances through scientific presentations and innovative idea proposals. The evaluation process was conducted objectively and comprehensively by the panel of judges. As the final result, the winners of the 2026 Outstanding Student Selection at FK USU were announced as follows:
1st Place: Afiq Triyandi Hakam
2nd Place: Winda Chairunnur Hamid
3rd Place: Masyithoh Sausan Amjaddina
The event concluded with the official announcement of the winners, who will represent the Faculty of Medicine, USU, at the university-level selection. The selected students will undergo further coaching and evaluation to determine the best representative at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The panel of judges included Prof. Dr. dr. Elmeida Effendy, M.Ked(KJ)., Sp.KJ(K), Prof. Dr. dr. Rina Amelia, MARS, FISPH., FISCM., Sp.KKLP., Subsp.FOMC, and Dr. rer. medic., dr. M. Ichwan, M.Sc, Sp.KKLP, Subsp.FOMC, who played a key role in assessing participants’ competencies, academic achievements, and presentation skills.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of FK USU. In his remarks, he emphasized that the competition is not merely an event, but also a platform for developing students’ overall potential.
“Outstanding students are not only measured by academic achievements, but also by critical thinking, communication skills, and real contributions to society. We hope all participants continue to grow and become the best representatives of the Faculty of Medicine, USU,” he stated.
