Saturday, December 2, 2023. The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sumatera Utara held an Open House with the theme “Enhancing Partnerships and Network for Better Global Health”. This activity took place in the 3rd Floor Hall of FK USU.
The Universitas Sumatera Utara Faculty of Medicine Open House is an activity designed to increase collaboration with various parties involved, including partners who have collaborated and partners who are considered to have the potential to work with the Faculty of Medicine. It also aims to bring USU closer to the community so that people can better understand the various educational programs offered by the Faculty of Medicine of USU.
In his remarks, the Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, who was represented by the Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation, Prof. Dr. apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M. Si appreciated the Faculty of Medicine Open House activity, which is part of an effort to introduce USU’s Faculty of Medicine more closely to the public, where this activity is expected to generate public enthusiasm for choosing USU’s Faculty of Medicine as the best higher education institution for their children.
On the same occasion, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), welcomed the extraordinary enthusiasm received by all participants. The Dean said this activity will be a regular agenda held once a year before the new student admission period.
The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara is one of the favorite choices of universities to continue education, both at the undergraduate (S1) and postgraduate levels. Therefore, the Head of the Committee for the Faculty of Medicine Open House 2023, dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis, M.Ked (Ped)., Sp.A, Ph.D wishes to reintroduce it because there are several diverse study programs at USU’s Faculty of Medicine. In preparation, regular surveys are carried out to determine which study programs are targeted and sought after by the community. Likewise, communication continues with partners to strengthen and implement the cooperation that has been established.
