The USU Award 2025 was held in a different format compared to previous years. The award ceremony honoring members of the academic community of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) for their achievements at national and international levels was conducted solemnly on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at the USU Student Activity Center.

The Rector of USU, Prof. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and hard work of lecturers and students who have brought pride to the university through various competitions at local, national, and international levels. In his remarks, Prof. Muryanto also invited all attendees to offer prayers for the victims of natural disasters in several regions of Sumatra.

 

“Your achievements are a source of pride for Universitas Sumatera Utara as we continue to improve academic quality in the future. At the same time, let us come together in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra who are still facing the impacts of natural disasters,” said Prof. Muryanto.

 

The USU Award 2025 is a prestigious annual event that recognizes excellence across a wide range of categories, including Best Academics (Best Author, Best Researcher, Best Innovator, and Best SDGs Contributor), Best Archival Personnel, Best GJM and GKM Implementers, Best Priority Performance Indicators, Outstanding Accreditation, International Accreditation, Best Collaboration, Timely Reporting of PDDIKTI and Plug and Play, Outstanding Students, and the Inspiring Alumni Award.

At this event, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) achieved several notable accomplishments by securing multiple prestigious awards. FK USU received the USU Archival Management Award, reflecting its strong commitment to orderly and professional archival governance.

In addition, within the Best Collaboration at Study Program Level category, FK USU recorded outstanding achievements through several programs: the Clinical Nutrition Specialist Program was awarded Second Best Study Program for International Collaboration, the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Program earned Third Best Study Program for Government/NGO Collaboration, and the Undergraduate Medical Education and Medical Profession Programs achieved First Best Study Program for Collaboration Reporting Management.

 

FK USU also received awards in the Priority Performance Indicators (IKP) category, including IKP 7 (Inbound Mobility of Lecturers and Practitioners) and IKP 12 (Number of Digital Services). Individual achievements further enriched these accomplishments, with Enrico Franditho Sihombing receiving recognition at the Ministerial Level, Anyelir Nirmala Siregar earning National-Level Achievement, along with several other FK USU students attaining International-Level Achievements.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S(K), conveyed his highest appreciation to all members of the academic community for their dedication, hard work, and strong synergy.

 

“I hope these achievements will serve as motivation to continuously enhance the quality of education, research, and community service, while strengthening FK USU’s role as a leading medical education institution with global competitiveness and a tangible contribution to the nation and humanity,” he stated.
