Wednesday, January 16, 2024. The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) created a moment of togetherness for alumni in Medan City through an Alumni Gathering event at the Adimulia Hotel, Tokyo Room.
In his speech, the Dean of FK USU Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K) gave a warm welcome and expressed his gratitude to the alumni who had attended.
In his remarks, the Dean of USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K) explained that USU Faculty of Medicine has collaborated with the USU Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association, which has formed a network throughout Indonesia. These efforts are expected to expand the cooperation footprint and gain more significant support to improve USU's international reputation and ranking.
The Dean of USU Faculty of Medicine also expressed his commitment to improving the quality of alumni by evaluating the educational process at USU Faculty of Medicine. Evaluations are routinely conducted every semester to evaluate various aspects of the education system. The results of this evaluation become the basis for designing continuous improvement and enhancement.

In her remarks, Vice Dean III of USU Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis M.Ked (Ped.), Sp.A, Ph.D explained that this meeting specifically aimed to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the alma mater. In addition, this event also aims to get input from alumni who have reached leadership positions in their workplaces. In this meeting, it is hoped that information can be obtained about how USU graduates collaborate with them today and get an idea of how to improve the quality of future graduates.
In the future, Dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis M.Ked (Ped), Sp.A, Ph.D. plans to hold this activity regularly and involve alumni from all over Indonesia. By inviting alumni from various regions, it is hoped that this meeting can become a more comprehensive platform for sharing experiences, building collaborations, and making positive contributions to the development of the alma mater and the progress of the alumni involved.
