The Faculty of Medicine (FK) USU had the opportunity to receive a visit from Prof. Apt. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., PhD, as Director of Research and Community Service from the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Prof. apt. I Ketut was filling the Indonesia Research Summit 2.0 activities held at the DLCB Building Lt. 1 USU on Thursday (28/02/2025).
During his visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. I Ketut was accompanied by USU Vice Chancellor III, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan S.Si., M.Si., Apt. and was welcomed by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K). accompanied by Vice Dean I of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Delyuzar M.Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K)., Vice Dean III of the USU Faculty of Medicine, dr. Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis, PGDip PID., M.Ked (Ped)., Sp.A., Ph.D., Director of Education, Research and Cooperation Rs. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis. Prof. Chairuddin P. Lubis USU, dr. Ivana Alona, MPH.
Prof. I Ketut reviewed various laboratories available at FK USU, including the Integrated Laboratory and Microbiology Laboratory. Head of the Integrated Laboratory, Dr. dr. Dedi Ardinata M. Kes, AIFM, explained the role of the integrated laboratory, which aims to support educational activities, research, and community service. This laboratory can also help students in developing medical theories and concepts. According to Prof. I Ketut, the complete facilities and sophisticated equipment available will greatly support the quality of student learning and lecturer research in making FK USU a superior institution in medical science.
The Director of Research and Community Service, Prof. Apt. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., PhD, said that research collaboration should not be limited to scientific publications and patents but also include the development of research results in the industrial sector.
The visit continued with a visit to the Microbiology Laboratory. Dr. R. Lia Kusumawati Iswara, M.Biomed., Sp.MK(K)., Ph.D., the person in charge of the Microbiology Laboratory, warmly welcomed Prof. I Ketut and his entourage.
This visit is part of the Directorate General of Higher Education's efforts to ensure that educational facilities meet quality standards and support the development of science and technology in Indonesia.
