As eye specialists, graduates of this study program can work as ophthalmologists in hospitals or eye clinics. They are responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal diseases.

Some graduates choose to specialize in eye surgery. They will be tasked with performing various eye surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and retinal disease surgery to improve vision and maintain the health of the patient's eyes.

Becoming an eye consultant by opening a private practice is also one of the career prospects for graduates of this study program. They will treat patients with various eye problems and offer eye examinations, medical consultations, and eye surgery services if needed.

Some graduates also choose to become lecturers or researchers in educational or research institutions. They will educate medical students or conduct scientific research to improve the understanding of eye diseases and the development of new technologies in eye health care.

Some graduates may also pursue careers in international health as eye consultants. They may work with global health organizations to provide eye care services to those in need in developing countries or disaster-stricken areas.
