Biomedical Science

Master's Program (S-2)

Biomedical science is a branch of medical science that uses the basic principles and knowledge of the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics) to explain the phenomena of life at the molecular level of atoms, cells, organs, and whole organisms as well as their relationship with disease and the environment, which is intended as a scientific basis in order to carry out the discovery and development of materials for medical needs.

Graduate Profile

The following is a list of graduate profiles found in Master’s Program in Biomedical Science

Graduates of this study program can pursue careers as biomedical researchers in academic research institutions, pharmaceutical industries, and biotechnology laboratories. Their duties include designing and conducting scientific research, analyzing data, and publishing research results in scientific journals.

Some graduates also choose to work as medical product developers in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies, or medical device companies. In these positions, they are responsible for developing and validating new medical products and ensuring compliance with applicable health regulations.

Graduates can work as biomedical laboratory managers in hospitals, research institutes, or biotechnology companies. Their duties include managing laboratory operations, supervising laboratory staff, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality procedures.

Graduates who choose to pursue a career in education as educators or lecturers at a college or medical school will be tasked with teaching biomedical courses to medical or other health science students and conducting research in the field of biomedical sciences.

A health consultant or advisor in a government agency, non-governmental organization, or private company will provide technical advice on health issues, develop health policies, or conduct health program evaluations.
