The Faculty of Medicine USU received an audience from the Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities (CIMSA) USU as part of efforts to strengthen communication and synergy between the student organization and the faculty leadership. The activity served as a platform for CIMSA USU to introduce the organization while presenting various programs oriented toward developing the capacity and experiences of medical students. The activity was held at the Meeting Room of the Dean's Office, Faculty of Medicine USU, on September 29, 2026.

During the audience, CIMSA USU introduced its organizational profile and several active Standing Committees, namely the Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH), Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME), and Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP). Each Standing Committee has a different focus, ranging from public health issues and medical education development to concerns regarding human rights and peace. These activities form part of CIMSA's contribution in providing students with opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, leadership, and social awareness.
In addition to introducing the organization, the audience also discussed the Clinical Exchange program organized by the Observer Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (Obs. SCOPE) of CIMSA USU. The program is a clinical-based student exchange activity for medical students that provides participants with opportunities to gain academic and clinical experience in different environments.
The discussion on Clinical Exchange covered an overview of the program, its implementation mechanism, and opportunities for program development within the Faculty of Medicine USU. The audience also served as a forum to discuss institutional support that could be provided to ensure that the program is implemented in a structured manner and provides benefits for students and the institution.

The strengthening of student activities and learning experiences is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the provision of learning opportunities and competency development for students beyond formal education. Programs related to public health and medical education also support SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by encouraging the development of future health professionals who possess knowledge and awareness of various health issues.
Through this audience, the Faculty of Medicine USU and CIMSA USU are expected to continue building constructive communication and strengthening synergy in supporting student activities. Collaboration between student organizations and institutions is also an important part of creating a medical education environment that is not only oriented toward academic achievement but also promotes the development of leadership, social awareness, global perspectives, and professional experience among students.
