The event took place at the 1st Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Medicine USU on 25 October 2025, and was attended by faculty leaders and representatives from each partner institution.

In his welcoming remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine USU, Prof. Dr. dr. He explained that this cooperation program is a follow-up to an initiative first launched by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in the Science and Technology sector on 27 June 2025, during the opening of AIPKI in Padang.

Furthermore, the Dean emphasized that the Faculty of Medicine USU has been appointed as a mentoring institution for six partner medical faculties in the process of establishing new Specialist Study Programs (Sp-1 and Sp-2).

“FK USU is committed to being an active and productive partner in the development of specialist medical education programs. Through this collaboration, we hope to expand access, improve quality, and accelerate the availability of qualified specialist and subspecialist doctors for the community,” the Dean stated in his address.

The event continued with the signing of memoranda of understanding by representatives of each university, witnessed by the faculty leadership. The atmosphere was marked by warmth and a strong spirit of collaboration throughout the proceedings.

This activity served as an important milestone in strengthening inter-university academic networks, while also supporting the national vision for equitable access to education and healthcare services across various regions of Indonesia.
