Primary Care Family Medicine

Graduates of this study program can work as family doctors in Puskesmas or other primary health centers. Their duties include providing comprehensive health services to individuals, families, and communities, diagnosing and treating common diseases, and providing health education to patients.

Some graduates choose to open private practices as family health consultants, where they will provide family health consultation services, conduct routine health check-ups, and advise on healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.

Graduates can also pursue a career in education as lecturers or teachers in universities or health training institutions. They will be tasked with teaching and training medical students or other health workers about primary health care, holistic approaches to health care, and the importance of disease prevention and health promotion.

Some graduates also choose to become researchers in the field of public health. They will be involved in studies on the effectiveness of primary health care programs, factors affecting access and quality, and innovations in family health care approaches.

Some work as primary health program managers in government agencies or non-government organizations. They will be tasked with planning, implementing, and evaluating primary health programs, managing human and budgetary resources, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Some graduates choose to pursue a career as a public health expert at the district level, where they will be involved in planning and implementing primary health programs, monitoring and evaluating public health indicators, and advocating for sustainable health policies.

Some graduates may choose to become family health consultants in villages or remote areas. These consultants provide primary health services to people living in remote areas, conduct counseling on health and sanitation, and assist in improving the accessibility of health services.

Some graduates choose to work as international public health experts. They will be involved in various primary health projects in developing countries, providing technical assistance in the planning and implementation of primary health programs and contributing to the development of sustainable health systems.
