The specialization in Tropical Dermatology in USU's Specialist-1 Program in Dermatology Venereology and Aesthetics is devoted to diagnosing, treating, and preventing skin diseases that commonly affect people in the tropics. Through research and clinical practice, this specialization aims to understand better the patterns of the spread of tropical skin diseases such as scabies, ringworm, leprosy, and other parasitic infections. By exploring the environmental factors and epidemiology of skin diseases, this specialization is expected to develop effective prevention strategies and improve accessibility to skin care in the tropics.
Preventive Oncology

Preventive Oncology

The specialization in Preventive Oncology in USU's Specialist-1 Program in Dermatology Venereology and Aesthetics focuses on the prevention, early detection, and management of skin cancer. The aim is to identify risk factors associated with skin cancer, such as ultraviolet light exposure, chemical exposure, and genetic factors. Through research and public education, this specialization aims to increase public awareness about the importance of skin cancer prevention, encourage healthy living behaviors, and improve the ability of early detection of skin cancer to reduce the incidence rate and improve the prognosis of patients with skin cancer.

The specialization in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology at USU's Specialist-1 Program in Dermatology Venereology and Aesthetics explores various cosmetic and aesthetic procedures to improve the appearance and health of the skin. The aim is to understand better different cosmetic surgery techniques, such as fillers, Botox, and lasers.
