This program studies the science and art of pregnancy preparation or those related to midwifery, encompassing fetomaternal, fertility, and gynecology, and is a continuation of the Specialist-1 Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).
As this program is a newly established study program, it has not received accreditation.
Vision & Mission
To become a center of education for subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology that produces graduates with the values of BINTANG (Faithful to God Almighty, Innovative, Resilient, and Wise) and the ability to apply professional excellence to improve reproductive health and the management of gynecological cancer in Southeast Asia by 2030.
- To provide education that instills the values of BINTANG (Faithful to God Almighty, Innovative, Resilient, and Wise) to produce graduates who are competent, professional, and possess high moral and spiritual integrity in carrying out their duties.
- To produce subspecialist doctors in obstetrics and gynecology according to the subspecialist doctor education standards set by the Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Collegium and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) under Ministry Regulation No. 73 of 2013, thus enhancing public health services at both the national and international levels.
- To produce subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology doctors with integrity in providing services using assisted reproductive technology (ART) with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), fetal therapy (fetoscopy and invasive ultrasonography), management of Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorder (PASD), and comprehensive ovarian cancer management.
- To conduct research and community service in the field of subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology that benefits society and the development of knowledge, which can improve the quality of life for women and contribute to the nation's intellectual growth.
Goals & Targets
- To produce qualified subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology doctors with specialization who are responsible for performing their subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology profession.
- To produce subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology doctors who can provide services following the National Health System and adhere to the Indonesian Code of Medical Ethics (KODEKI).
- To produce subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology doctors with the ability to conduct innovative research that contributes relevantly to the development of knowledge and the needs of society.
- To produce subspecialist obstetrics and gynecology doctor graduates who contribute to advancing the nation's public welfare and intellectual growth through community service.
- Improving the quality of medical education management continuously to achieve excellence in global competition and international collaboration in the health sector.
