Neurosurgery

Graduates of this study program can work as neurosurgeons in general or specialist hospitals. They are responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system through surgical procedures.

Graduates may open a private practice or work in a specialist clinic as a consultant neurosurgeon. They will offer consultation services, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for patients with neurological disorders.

Some graduates choose to become researchers or lecturers in medical faculties or research institutions. They will be assigned to teach students, conduct research in neurosurgery, and contribute to developing new surgical techniques and treatments.

Graduates of this study program may also work with international health organizations or in humanitarian missions, providing neurosurgical services in areas that lack medical facilities. They will treat complex neurological conditions in environments with limited medical resources.

They can also work in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries as clinical researchers, developing and testing drugs or medical devices related to neurology and neurosurgery. They are tasked with ensuring the safety and effectiveness of new products that can be used in patient care.

Graduates can work in trauma centers that handle emergency cases related to brain and spinal cord injuries. They will provide emergency and surgical care for severely traumatized patients, helping to save lives and minimize long-term effects.
