Concentration

The following is a list of specializations contained in Specialist-1 Program in Anatomical Pathology

Hepatobiliary Digestive Anatomical Pathology

This specialization diagnoses diseases involving the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and biliary system. Students will study various pathologies including colorectal cancer, hepatitis, and other liver diseases. The aim is to train pathologists to diagnose these diseases accurately and support appropriate treatment.

Breast Obstetric and Gynecologic Anatomical Pathology

Students in this specialization will explore pathology related to the female reproductive system and the breast. This includes the diagnosis of breast cancer, cervical cancer, and other pathological conditions such as endometriosis. The aim is to equip students with skills in performing histopathology and cytopathology evaluations for these diseases.

Musculoskeletal Anatomical Pathology

This specialization involves the study of pathologies affecting bone, muscle, and connective tissue. Students will learn to recognize and diagnose conditions like osteosarcoma, rheumatoid arthritis, and other degenerative diseases. The aim is to produce pathologists who can provide detailed diagnoses for musculoskeletal diseases.

Male Reproductive Uropathology Anatomical Pathology

This specialization focuses on diseases affecting the male urogenital and reproductive systems. Students will study various pathologies such as prostate cancer, nephritis, and testicular disorders. The aim is to develop histopathological and cytopathological diagnosis skills in this field.

Cardiovascular Respiratory and Mediastinal Anatomical Pathology

This specialization includes the study of pathology of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and mediastinum. Students will study conditions such as myocardial infarction, pulmonary fibrosis, and mediastinal tumors. The aim is to provide the ability to diagnose various cardiovascular and respiratory conditions precisely.

Hemato-lymphoid Endocrine Anatomical Pathology

Students will focus on hematological, lymphatic and endocrine systems pathology. This includes the diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, and thyroid disorders. The aim is to equip students with skills in interpreting hematology specimens and endocrine biopsies.

Skin and Adnexa Anatomical Pathology

This specialization involves the study of the pathology of skin and adnexal structures such as sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Students will learn to recognize melanoma, psoriasis, and skin infections. The aim is to produce specialists who are experts in diagnosing dermatopathology.

Nerves and Eyes Anatomical Pathology

This specialization focuses on pathologies affecting the nervous system and the eye. Students will study conditions such as glioma, neurodegenerative diseases, and retinoblastoma. The aim is to develop expertise in diagnosing neurological and ophthalmological diseases through tissue analysis.

Cytopathology Anatomical Pathology

This specialization is specialized in cellular studies to diagnose diseases. Students will learn cytopathology techniques to detect conditions such as cancer by analyzing organ cytology samples. The aim is to produce pathologists who are skilled in the interpretation of diagnostic cytology.

Learning Outcomes

It is expected to produce Anatomical Pathology Specialists who are professional, scientific, ethical, responsible, able to develop the science of Anatomical Pathology through continuous education, research, and community service, and have managerial skills in managing laboratories and diagnostic centers for Anatomical Pathology.

Learning Outcomes
1	Able to determine the diagnosis of histopathology and cytopathology in accordance with the development of science and the utilization of the latest technology in the field of Anatomical Pathology in an accurate, reliable, integrated, and accountable manner.
2	Able to determine the cause of death, including preparation, implementation of procedures, and preparation of clinical autopsy reports.
3	Able to determine the Anatomical Pathology diagnosis in an independent and integrated manner in an effort to realize optimal patient management.
4	Able to develop effective communication with patients and their families.
5	Able to master the management of Anatomical Pathology diagnostic centers based on the provisions of the Indonesian Pathology College.
6	Able to master the process of laboratory administration, financial administration, human resources, and quality control at the Anatomical Pathology diagnostic center.
7	Able to analyze the environmental impact caused by all processes and activities at the Anatomical Pathology diagnostic center.
8	Able to develop research independently or in groups in an effort to develop medical science in the field of Anatomical Pathology with an evidence-based approach.
9	Able to disseminate reports on research results in the field of Anatomical Pathology in the form of publications and presentations, both at national and international levels.
10	Able to develop knowledge and experience in the field of Anatomical Pathology through community service activities and counseling in order to improve the health status of the community in a simple and easily understood manner by the general public.
11	Able to develop national policies (collegium) in order to improve the quality of education in the field of Anatomical Pathology.
