Medan, 23 November 2025 — The Neurology Department of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully held a Funwalk activity attended by Professors, faculty leaders, teaching staff, administrative staff, and the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine USU. The event took place in an atmosphere full of togetherness, warmth, and a spirit of healthy living under the theme “Strong Steps, Strong Brain”.

In her remarks, the Head of the Neurology Department of the Faculty of Medicine USU, Dr. dr. Cut Aria Arina Sp.S(K), expressed her gratitude for the successful implementation of this event. She emphasized the importance of maintaining physical and mental health amid busy academic and healthcare service activities. She also hopes that Funwalk activities like this can continue to serve as a platform to strengthen connections between departments and study programs.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S(K), also delivered his appreciation and gratitude to the Neurology Department for successfully organizing this event. He stated that Funwalk is a monthly routine activity that has become a tradition at the Faculty of Medicine USU and is now part of the faculty’s healthy culture. This activity, now in its ninth round, is carried out alternately by each study program or department within the Faculty of Medicine USU.
He added that the active participation of lecturers and administrative staff demonstrates the commitment of the Faculty of Medicine USU to building a healthy, harmonious, and productive working atmosphere.
“I hope that with this Funwalk activity, the bonds within the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine USU will grow even stronger, awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle will increase, and the sense of togetherness and collegiality that serves as the foundation of the Faculty of Medicine USU’s strength in carrying out the tri dharma and shaping an excellent generation of medical professionals will continue to be reinforced,” he said.
