The Head of the Forensic and Medicolegal Specialist Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU), dr. Adriansyah Lubis, M.Kes., M.Ked(For), Sp.F.M., was invited as a speaker at the Visum et Repertum and Medicolegal Workshop organized by the UPTD Balai Pelatihan Kesehatan (Bapelkes) Aceh in collaboration with the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) Southeast Aceh Branch. The workshop was held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Southeast Aceh Health Office Hall.

The workshop was attended by physicians and aimed to strengthen healthcare professionals’ competencies in preparing Visum et Repertum reports and addressing medicolegal aspects in healthcare services. The activity was also validated for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, making it part of physicians’ ongoing professional competency development.
During the workshop, dr. Adriansyah Lubis delivered a session entitled “Visum et Repertum,” covering the principles of preparing forensic medical reports in a scientific, objective, and legally compliant manner. As a specialist in forensic and medicolegal medicine, he emphasized the importance of accuracy in medical examinations and the preparation of medical reports that can serve as legally admissible evidence.
The workshop also featured other speakers, including dr. Kharmaedisyah Putra, Sp.OG(K), FMAS, M.H., FIHFAA, who presented Open MIC: Medical Dispute and Malpractice Resolution, and dr. Reza Priatna, M.Kes., M.Ked(For), Sp.F.M., who discussed Visum et Repertum in Sexual Violence Cases. The session was moderated by dr. Mardiana.
The appointment of dr. Adriansyah Lubis as a speaker at a national-level professional workshop reflects the expertise of FK USU’s academic community in forensic and medicolegal medicine. His participation also reinforces FK USU’s role in supporting the continuous professional development of healthcare professionals through continuing education, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the strengthening of healthcare professionals’ competencies.
