Creating an Impactful Campus: USU Faculty of Medicine Hosts the Zoomal (Zoonotic Malaria) Project Meeting The Zoomal Project Meeting 2026 was organized to present the achievements accomplished throughout the project, evaluate activities that have been carried out, and formulate strategies and follow-up plans ahead of the project’s completion in 2026. The meeting served as an important forum for sharing knowledge, experiences, and research findings that have contributed to the control of zoonotic malaria in Indonesia. 05 June 2026

Signing of a Cooperation Agreement Between the Faculty of Medicine, USU and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Jambi for the Development of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Training Program This collaboration focuses on supporting the implementation of the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS)-1 in Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Jambi. Through this partnership, the Faculty of Medicine, USU will provide academic mentoring and institutional capacity strengthening to support the development of a high-quality specialist training program that meets national medical education standards. 04 June 2026

USU Faculty of Medicine and Imelda University Medan Faculty of Medicine Strengthen Collaboration in Medical Education Development Through this partnership, the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FK USU) provides academic guidance and consultation to ensure that the curriculum, learning system, supporting resources, and operational standards implemented by the Faculty of Medicine of Imelda University Medan (FK UIM) meet academic and operational feasibility criteria in accordance with applicable regulations. 03 June 2026

USU Faculty of Medicine Receives Visit from RSUD FL Tobing Director to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Both institutions discussed strengthening and expanding cooperation related to the implementation of the Hospital-Based Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS RSPPU) at RSUD FL Tobing Sibolga. Delegation from the Faculty of Medicine USU Wins First Runner-Up at USIM iMicrobe 2026 in Malaysia The delegation from FK USU sent two teams to compete in USIM iMicrobe 2026. Team B won First Runner-Up after competing against 28 teams of medical and dental students from various universities in Malaysia and Indonesia, while Team A secured a place in the Top 10. 08 May 2026
